"I am thankful for a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning and gutters that need fixing because it means I have a home.... I am thankful for the piles of laundry and ironing because it means my loved ones are nearby." ~Nancie J. Carmody

Book Worm

I love to read! I am reading a really good book right now and it came to me via paperbackswap.com. I have found creative ways to keep my "need to read" habit going, without spending any money. I have rediscovered my public library, and I found the coolest website... http://www.paperbackswap.com/index.php
This is how it works. Once you sign up and create a profile, you can list books that you have that you are willing to part with (hardcovers also). Another member requests one of your books, and you mail it off to them, with a label provided by the website. When the member receives your book, your account is credited 1 point. You may redeem your points for books, which will be mailed to you in the same manner. 1 point=1 book. Initially, when you list your first 10 books they start you off with one free point. I have mailed out 4 books thus far, and have requested 2. It is the coolest thing and you only pay for the postage to mail out the books. I recommend it highly. Happy reading!
