"I am thankful for a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning and gutters that need fixing because it means I have a home.... I am thankful for the piles of laundry and ironing because it means my loved ones are nearby." ~Nancie J. Carmody

Feb 1st

Quiet Sunday. Too quiet.
We are adjusting to life with no kids living under our roof. This is huge! A bit of a speed bump for me.
I made a fire when I woke up and set about making breakfast for Jim and I. I let Hazel out and fed her. Threw in some laundry. I feel like the ordinary daily tasks keep me going, grounded, while I adjust to a new way. Meanwhile, this morning was very nice.
 Waiting for breakfast
 Ready for some snuggles
 Cozy

This is my view while cooking breakfast.
